Call for Submissions

Verity is now open for submissions! We are in search of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction from diverse perspectives— including, but not limited to BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, Women, and all other marginalized peoples. If you have a poem, story, or personal truth waiting to be told, we invite you to share it with us. 

 

For our first issue, there is no restriction on genre. Whether it’s science fiction, romance, or dystopian thriller, we want to hear your unique voice. We are looking for writing that sheds light on marginalized communities, explores lived experiences, and challenges conventional narratives.

 

Guidelines:

• Submit your work to us at ohio.emgreen724@gmail.com

• Submissions must be sent in the form of a Word document (.doc or .docx)

• Poetry submissions can include up to 5 poems

• Fiction and Creative Nonfiction pieces should be a maximum of 15 pages

• Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted somewhere else

• We only accept submissions from people who identify as member of a marginalized community

• If you choose to submit, provide us with a brief bio using this website.
